Key Takeaway
Starting in 2026, ERCO has become the official lighting partner of Art Basel, the world’s leading art fair for modern and contemporary art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
A touring system for five venues
The partnership covers Art Basel’s venues in Basel, Paris, Miami Beach, Hong Kong, and Qatar. In close collaboration with Expomobilia, which plans, delivers, and builds the exhibition infrastructure, a customised lighting solution was developed to stage a wide variety of artworks at every location.

Parscan XL, built to travel
Custom versions of ERCO Parscan XL spotlights for track adapt to different mounting systems and technical conditions across three continents. They travel in dedicated flight cases from one edition to the next.

The published lighting aim is uniform ambient light at about 500 lux, 4000K, CRI 92 — with tool-less optics so the same spotlight can wallwash a booth wall or accent a work. A rotary dimmer lets technicians set brightness on site during a short install window.
In Hong Kong and Paris, cantilever arms with integrated ERCO track sit in front of the presentation walls. Basel uses suspended rods; Miami Beach uses a truss with ERCO US track. One luminaire family, reused across the calendar.
